Ottawa Grand Prix 2| Ontario Qualifier
The second Grand Prix will also be an Ontario Chess Challenge Qualifier, providing an additional opportunity for kids who haven't managed to qualify yet!

The Grand Prix series are back to Ottawa! Come participate in our exciting series where winners of the 3 tournaments share up to 2000$ and every player gets a participation prize. This tournament is hosted by Ottawa Chess Knights in collaboration with Chess'n Math. Our sponsor Loblaws will be providing free snacks and drinks for every participant! The entry fee is 35$ for 5 rounds - 15 min + 5 sec increments. Top 3 in each section will be given medals. There are also medals for the top girl and top participant from each grade if they missed out on the main prizes. A participation ribbon will also be given to those who did not manage to win a medal. The tournament will take place at the Longfields-Davidson Heights on Saturday March 23 from 1 PM to 4:15 pm, please check in between 12:30 and 1PM. You must register online by Friday, March 22 at 10 PM. Registrations on site will not be allowed.

Free Simul by Expert Mike Sun from 4:30 -5:30, kids who finish early each round will be able to play against Canada's U16 Female representative Ankita Jain.

After tallying the scores of all 3 tournaments, the last one ending on May 11, the Top 3 in each age group get a prize: 1st - 150$, 2nd - 100$, 3rd - 50$
Anyone that scores at least 7.5 points but doesn't win a regular prize will be eligible to share 500$
